I used to tell my team members, “don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, so I know where you want to go and can help make that happen”.
Thanks so much Ann - and you’re so right as women we definitely need to stop over explaining and justifying our ask. It’s such a default mechanism we often do it without thinking, so it’s not an easy habit to break - but all the more important to try!
